iPhone Service Centre Singapore: Apple's Own Centres, and When an Independent Is the Right Call

Most people searching for an "iPhone service centre in Singapore" are really asking two questions at once: where do I physically take this phone, and will going to the wrong place cost me my warranty. Those have different answers, and the second one is the expensive one to get wrong. Esmond Service Centre is an Apple Independent Repair Provider — one of the three kinds of place you can walk into — so this guide names Apple's own counters first, explains what separates the three tiers, and only then tells you what we do.

Where Are Apple's Own Service Centres in Singapore?

There is no single "Apple service centre" in Singapore. Apple operates three retail stores, and each one has a Genius Bar that handles repairs. A Genius Bar visit needs an appointment — walking in with a broken phone and no booking is the most common wasted trip we hear about. Apple also offers a post-in option: it sends you a prepaid delivery box, you send the phone, no appointment needed.

Apple also works through Apple Authorised Service Providers — separate companies Apple has approved to carry out warranty repairs with genuine parts. Apple lists them in its own service locator rather than on a fixed page, and the list changes, so the reliable way to find the current one nearest you is Apple's locator itself. We have deliberately not reprinted a list of authorised providers here: we could not read one from Apple's own source, and a list copied from someone else's blog is a fact nobody has checked.

The Three Kinds of iPhone Service Centre — and What Each Does to Your Warranty

This is the part almost nobody explains, and it is the part that decides whether you are about to make an expensive mistake. Apple recognises three categories of repairer, and a fourth kind of shop exists that Apple recognises not at all. They differ in the parts they hold, in who guarantees the work, and — critically — in what happens to your remaining Apple warranty.

Where you goWho they arePartsEffect on an Apple warranty still running
Apple Store — Genius BarApple itself. Three locations in Singapore.Genuine Apple partsNone. This is Apple's own channel, and Apple guarantees the service and the parts for 90 days or the rest of your warranty, whichever is longer.
Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP)An independent company Apple has approved to perform warranty repairs on its behalf.Genuine Apple partsNone. In-warranty work is done under Apple's terms. Out of warranty, Apple states that authorised providers set their own service fees.
Apple Independent Repair Provider (IRP) — this is usA repairer in Apple's Independent Repair Provider programme, with access to genuine Apple parts and tools for out-of-warranty work.Genuine or OEM-grade partsAn IRP is for out-of-warranty repair. If your device is still covered by Apple, use Apple.
An unaffiliated repair shopAny shop with no relationship to Apple at all.Whatever they choose to fitA third-party repair can lead an authorised channel to refuse further service on a device that is still in warranty. This is the real risk, and it is why the answer above is not marketing.

The honest summary: the three tiers are not ranked from worst to best. They are for different moments in a phone's life. A phone eleven months old belongs at Apple. A phone three years old, out of warranty, with a cracked screen, does not — and paying Apple's out-of-warranty price for it is a decision you should make deliberately rather than by default.

Still in Warranty or on AppleCare+? Go to Apple.

We will say this plainly even though it sends the job away: if your iPhone is inside Apple's one-year limited warranty, or you hold AppleCare+, Apple is the right place and it is not close. Apple's published service fees for a device covered by AppleCare+ in Singapore, read from Apple's own support page on 8 September 2026:

  • Battery — no charge, when the battery's capacity has dropped below 80%.
  • Screen damage — S$42.
  • Back glass damage — S$42.
  • Other accidental damage — S$148.
  • Apple adds that for service covered by an AppleCare plan, the fee is the same at Apple and at every Apple Authorised Service Provider.

Against Apple's own out-of-warranty screen estimate in the next section, an AppleCare+ screen at S$42 is not a close call. If you are covered, use the cover. Apple's warranty does not cover accidental damage, or a battery that has simply worn out with normal use — so a two-year-old phone with a tired battery and no AppleCare+ is already in the out-of-warranty world, whatever its screen looks like.

Out of Warranty: What Apple Charges, and What We Charge

Both columns below are published figures, not estimates we have made up. Apple's are its own out-of-warranty service estimates for Singapore, read from Apple's support site on 8 September 2026 for an iPhone 17; Apple's prices vary by model, so check yours. Ours are the prices on our own iPhone repair page.

Screen damageS$575From S$68
Back glass damageS$225Priced per model — ask
Rear camera damageS$385Priced per model — ask
Other damageS$1,199Diagnosed first, then quoted

Read those two columns as different products, not as a cheap one and an expensive one. Apple's figure buys genuine Apple parts, Apple's own guarantee and Apple's process, and Apple states it will inspect the device to set the final fee and that tax and a delivery fee may be added. Our figure is a starting price for the model and the part concerned, it excludes 9% GST which is added at payment, and the exact number depends on your iPhone — which is why the diagnosis is free and comes before any commitment. We are not the cheapest repairer in Singapore and have never claimed to be.

What We Do as an Apple Independent Repair Provider

Esmond Service Centre is an Apple Independent Repair Provider with two Singapore branches — Alexandra (ARC) and Sin Ming (Midview City). We are not an Apple Authorised Service Provider and we do not carry out Apple warranty repairs. What we do is out-of-warranty iPhone work, with the diagnosis free and no obligation to proceed.

  • Battery replacement — from S$48, usually same day: 1–2 hours with an OEM-grade cell, 2–3 hours with a genuine Apple one.
  • Screen replacement — from S$68, same day on the same 1–2 hour / 2–3 hour split (see the iPhone screen repair page).
  • Charging port, cameras, speaker and microphone, buttons — typically 2–3 hours.
  • Logic-board repair — 3–5 working days, because board-level work is bench work and not a parts swap.
  • Water damage — a compulsory chemical clean at S$68 before GST, paid upfront and non-refundable, before the free diagnosis. It takes one working day. If your iPhone has met liquid, switch it off now and do not charge it.
  • Every repair carries a flat 90-day warranty on parts and labour, extendable to one year with the Esmond Care Plan. All prices exclude 9% GST, added at payment.

Which One Should You Choose?

  • In warranty, or holding AppleCare+ → Apple, or an Apple Authorised Service Provider. Book the Genius Bar appointment first.
  • Out of warranty and you want genuine Apple parts and Apple's own guarantee → Apple. Expect Apple's out-of-warranty pricing, and expect the device to be inspected before the fee is fixed.
  • Out of warranty and you want the fault identified before you commit any money → an Independent Repair Provider. The diagnosis is free here, and if we cannot fix it you pay nothing.
  • A phone that has been in water → whoever you choose, go today and do not charge it in the meantime. Time is the variable that decides whether a wet board survives.

Before You Go, Do These Three Things — In Order

Whichever place you choose, these three come before the trip, and the order matters — the first one is the only step that cannot be undone afterwards.

  1. First, back it up. A repair should not cost you your photos, but a phone that will not power on cannot be backed up at the counter — so do it while it still switches on. Apple's own iPhone repair page says nothing at all about backing up before service, which is exactly why we say it here.
  2. Then, check your coverage before you pay for anything. If the phone is inside Apple's one-year warranty or on AppleCare+, Apple's own channel is cheaper and safer, and you would be paying twice by going anywhere else.
  3. Finally, book the appointment. The Genius Bar works by appointment; the walk-in with no booking is the most common wasted afternoon we hear about. If you cannot get a slot, Apple's prepaid post-in box needs no appointment, and our two branches take walk-ins.

And the one line worth more than the rest of this page: if you cannot tell whether it is the screen, the battery or the board, do not keep testing it — bring it in and let a technician look at it. Guessing wrong on an iPhone usually means paying for the wrong part; the diagnosis costs nothing here, and if we cannot fix it you pay nothing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the Apple service centre in Singapore? +
There are three, not one — all Apple Stores with a Genius Bar. Orchard Road, 270 Orchard Road, Singapore 238857, 1800 699 2824. Marina Bay Sands, 2 Bayfront Avenue, B2-06, Singapore 018972, 1800 407 4949. Jewel Changi Airport, 78 Airport Boulevard, #02-234, Singapore 819666, 1800 407 4948. Apple also repairs by post with a prepaid box, and works through Apple Authorised Service Providers.
Do I need an appointment at the Genius Bar? +
Yes. Genius Bar service is by appointment, and turning up without one is the most common wasted trip. If you cannot get a slot, Apple's post-in option needs no appointment — Apple sends a prepaid delivery box.
Is Esmond Service Centre an Apple Authorised Service Provider? +
No, and we will not describe ourselves as one. We are an Apple Independent Repair Provider, which is a different Apple programme: it is for out-of-warranty repair. If your iPhone is still covered by Apple, Apple or an Apple Authorised Service Provider is the right place.
Will a third-party repair void my iPhone warranty? +
It can. An authorised channel may refuse further service on a device that is still in warranty and has been opened elsewhere. That is why our answer for an in-warranty phone is always the same: go to Apple. Once the warranty has expired there is nothing left to void, and the choice becomes yours.
How much does Apple charge for an out-of-warranty iPhone repair in Singapore? +
Apple publishes its own estimates and they depend on the model. For an iPhone 17, read from Apple's Singapore support page on 8 September 2026: battery service S$175, back glass S$225, rear camera S$385, screen S$575, screen and back glass together S$699, other damage S$1,199. Apple inspects the device to set the final fee, tax applies, and a delivery fee may be added.
What does AppleCare+ cost me per repair in Singapore? +
Apple's published service fees are S$42 for screen damage, S$42 for back glass and S$148 for other accidental damage, with the battery replaced at no charge once its capacity falls below 80%. Apple states the fee is the same at Apple and at every Apple Authorised Service Provider.
How much do you charge to fix an iPhone? +
Battery replacement starts from S$48 and screen replacement from S$68, both usually same day — 1–2 hours with an OEM-grade part, 2–3 hours with a genuine Apple one. Prices exclude 9% GST, added at payment. The exact figure depends on your model, the diagnosis is free, and if we cannot fix it you pay nothing.
What warranty do I get on a repair here? +
A flat 90 days on parts and labour, extendable to one year with the Esmond Care Plan. For comparison, Apple guarantees its own service and replacement parts for 90 days or the remaining term of your Apple warranty, whichever is longer.
My iPhone got wet. Where should I take it? +
Anywhere, but go today, and switch it off now — powering a wet board is what turns a repairable phone into an unrepairable one. Here, a water-damaged device starts with a compulsory chemical clean at S$68 before GST, paid upfront and non-refundable, before the free diagnosis. The clean takes one working day; if board repair is then needed, allow 3–5.
Can you repair an iPhone the same day? +
Most common jobs, yes — battery and screen are same-day, and charging ports, cameras, speakers and buttons are typically 2–3 hours. Logic-board repair is the exception at 3–5 working days, because it is bench work rather than a parts swap.
