If you have just searched for a "Toshiba service centre" in Singapore, you have probably found a confusing mix of old phone numbers, closed addresses and third-party shops — and no clear answer. That is because the Toshiba you remember no longer repairs its own consumer products. This guide explains exactly where your Toshiba laptop, television or home appliance should go today, with the current official channels and an honest look at the independent alternative.
Most pages that rank for this search are either outdated directories listing contacts that closed years ago, or single-shop landing pages that only cover laptops. None of them explain that "Toshiba" is now three separate companies, and none tells you which one actually handles your product. We fixed that using Toshiba's own corporate disclosures and each successor brand's current Singapore service page.
Why there is no single Toshiba service centre anymore
There is no longer one Toshiba service centre in Singapore. On its own corporate site, Toshiba states that since 2016 it has sold off its consumer-products businesses. Laptops went to Dynabook, televisions to TVS REGZA, and home appliances to Toshiba Lifestyle. So the right place to repair your device now depends entirely on which Toshiba product you own.
Toshiba's Singapore corporate page spells this out plainly, confirming that "Toshiba Group has sold off its consumer products businesses, including Toshiba Brand licensed products." Here is where each consumer line actually went:
- Laptops and tablets — sold to Dynabook Inc., a Sharp group company. The Satellite, Portégé, Tecra and Qosmio lines now carry the Dynabook name, and Dynabook runs its own authorised service partner in Singapore.
- Televisions and visual products — transferred to TVS REGZA Corporation. In Singapore, Toshiba-branded TVs are supplied and serviced by Hisense Electronics (Singapore), which issues the warranty.
- Home appliances — sold to Toshiba Lifestyle Products & Services, now operated by Midea (Singapore). Fridges, washing machines, rice cookers and small kitchen appliances are serviced through this channel.
- Air conditioners — sold to Carrier, in yet another separate arrangement. In short, there is no single counter that fixes every Toshiba product, and assuming there is one is how people waste a trip.
Where to get each Toshiba product serviced in Singapore
Match your product to its current owner. Toshiba laptops are serviced through Dynabook's authorised partner, Toshiba televisions through the TVS REGZA and Hisense service line, and Toshiba fridges, washers and microwaves through Toshiba Lifestyle, now run by Midea. The table below lists the current brand and official contact for each, plus the independent option for out-of-warranty laptops.
| Toshiba product | Current brand / owner | Official service channel | Contact |

Toshiba and Dynabook laptop repair
Toshiba's laptop range — Satellite, Portégé, Tecra and Qosmio — is now the Dynabook brand, a Sharp group company. For in-warranty work, use Dynabook's authorised partner; for out-of-warranty repairs, a trusted independent shop is usually faster and cheaper. The common faults we see are cracked screens, batteries, keyboards, hinges and charging ports. You can see what we cover and typical prices on our Toshiba laptop repair page.
Dynabook's own Asia support page lists the Singapore authorised service provider as Data Dynamics Pte. Ltd. (123 Genting Lane #06-02, phone (65) 6741 8181). That is the route to take while your laptop is still under the manufacturer's warranty, because an unauthorised repair can void whatever cover remains.
- Cracked or dim screen, or a backlight that has failed — the most common Toshiba laptop job.
- A battery that drains fast or won't charge, often paired with a worn charging port or DC jack.
- Failed keyboard or touchpad — sticky, dead or ghosting (a faint trailing image on the screen) keys.
- Broken hinge or loose lid, which left unrepaired can crack the screen or the casing.
- No power or a motherboard fault — the point at which many owners weigh repair against replacement.

Toshiba TV repair
Toshiba-branded televisions are made under licence by TVS REGZA and supplied in Singapore by Hisense Electronics, which also handles their warranty and service. For a Toshiba TV fault, contact the official Toshiba TV service line rather than a laptop repair shop, because the panels, power boards and firmware are completely different.
The official Toshiba TV Singapore warranty page confirms the warranty is "issued by Hisense Electronics (Singapore) Pte. Ltd." and runs three years on the product. Service can be reached at 6980 3140 or service.sg@toshiba-visual.com. Have your model number and proof of purchase ready before you call.
Toshiba home appliance service
Toshiba fridges, washing machines, rice cookers and microwaves are now sold and serviced by Toshiba Lifestyle Products & Services, operated by Midea in Singapore. Appliance repairs, spare parts and warranty claims go through their customer-service hotline, not through any laptop or TV channel. Keep your proof of purchase for any work still under warranty.
The Toshiba Lifestyle Singapore support page gives the service hotline as 6655 0088 and the email as gmsgcs@sg.toshiba-lifestyle.com, with the business footed under Midea (Singapore) Product Pte. Ltd. This is the only correct channel for a Toshiba appliance — an independent laptop or phone shop cannot source its compressors, control boards or drum parts.
Official vs independent repair: how to choose
Choose the official channel when your device is still under warranty or needs genuine parts, and a reputable independent repairer when your Toshiba laptop is out of warranty and you want a faster, lower-cost fix. Before you book, work through these steps in order.
- Check your warranty first. If the device is in warranty, use the official channel to keep that cover valid.
- Ask which parts will be used — genuine or OEM-equivalent — and get the answer in writing.
- Insist on a free diagnostic and a written quote before any work starts.
- Confirm the warranty on the repair itself, not just on the part fitted.
- For TVs and appliances, use the official service line. The panels, compressors and boards are brand-specific and rarely available to a general repair shop.
When to stop and seek professional help
If your Toshiba laptop has a swollen battery, or you spilled liquid on it, stop — don't keep using or charging it. Continuing risks permanent damage and data loss, and a shop cannot fix a device that has short-circuited. Bring it to a technician instead, and if the data matters, say so before any work begins.
Esmond Service Centre's experienced technicians can diagnose and fix it fast — free diagnostics, repairs from $65.
